Driver Notice and Consent

Location Tracking Disclosure

This notice explains how Find Your Freight collects, uses, and shares your location data when you use our driver mobile application. By enabling location services and accepting load assignments, you consent to the practices described below.

1. Purpose of Location Tracking

Find Your Freight uses location tracking to provide real-time visibility into freight deliveries. This enables:

  • Accurate ETA calculations for shippers and receivers
  • Real-time shipment tracking through secure tracking links
  • Verification of pickup and delivery locations
  • Exception alerts when deliveries are delayed or off-route
  • Historical route data for proof of service

Location tracking is a core feature of the Find Your Freight platform. Drivers must enable location sharing to accept and complete load assignments.

2. Information We Collect

When you have an active load assignment, we collect:

  • GPS Coordinates: Your device's latitude and longitude
  • Timestamps: The time each location update is recorded
  • Speed and Heading: Direction and rate of travel
  • Route History: The path traveled during the delivery
  • Stop Duration: Time spent at pickup and delivery locations

When Tracking is Active

Location tracking is only active during load assignments. When you do not have an active load, your location is not tracked. The app clearly indicates your tracking status at all times.

3. How Your Location Is Used

Your location data is used to:

  • Calculate ETAs: Provide accurate arrival estimates to shippers and receivers
  • Enable Tracking Links: Allow authorized parties to view your location in real-time through secure, time-limited web links (no app required for viewers)
  • Verify Deliveries: Confirm that pickups and deliveries occur at the correct locations
  • Detect Exceptions: Alert relevant parties when delays, detours, or issues occur
  • Generate Proof of Service: Create timestamped records of your route for billing and dispute resolution

4. Who Can See Your Location

Your location is shared with the following parties during active deliveries:

Your Carrier

The trucking company you drive for can view your location for all loads they assign to you. This enables dispatch coordination and customer service.

Shippers

The business that posted the freight can view your location for their specific load only. They see your location from pickup through delivery completion.

Receivers

When shippers send tracking links to receivers, those parties can view your location through a simple web link. They see only your current location and ETA—no personal information is shared. Tracking links are time-limited and expire after delivery.

We never sell your location data. Your location is only shared with parties directly involved in the delivery you are performing.

5. Your Controls and Rights

You have the following controls over your location data:

  • View Tracking Status: The app always displays whether location tracking is currently active or inactive
  • Complete or Release Loads: When you complete or release a load, tracking stops immediately
  • Access Your Data: You can request a copy of your location history by contacting us at privacy@findyourfreight.com
  • Delete Your Data: You can request deletion of your location data, subject to our retention requirements for business and legal purposes

Important Note

While you can disable location services in your device settings at any time, doing so will prevent you from accepting or completing load assignments. Location sharing is required to use Find Your Freight as a driver.

6. Data Retention

We retain your location data as follows:

  • Real-time location: Displayed only during active deliveries
  • Route history: Retained for 90 days after delivery completion, then automatically deleted
  • Delivery timestamps: Pickup and delivery confirmation times may be retained longer for billing and compliance purposes

7. SMS and Communications

By using Find Your Freight, you may receive SMS text messages related to your load assignments, including:

  • Load assignment notifications
  • Pickup and delivery reminders
  • Messages from shippers or dispatchers
  • Exception alerts and status updates

SMS Terms

Message frequency varies based on your load activity. Message and data rates may apply.

To opt out of SMS notifications, reply STOP to any message. Note that opting out may affect your ability to receive time-sensitive load information. Reply HELP for assistance.

8. Consent Acknowledgment

By enabling location services in the Find Your Freight driver app and accepting load assignments, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this notice, and you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your location data as described above.
